
Established in 1990, JMK originally specialized in environmental contracting,
building an in-demand business by performing quality investigations and
assessments as well as remediation and abatement of asbestos, lead, PCB,
Mercury and other hazardous materials. We served clients from a large
cross-section of the private sector and multiple public/governmental
organizations.
Responding to the demands of a
historical increase in regulatory control, JMK began assisting owners,
operators and lenders as well as potential property purchasers and acquisition
lenders with the performance of due diligence according to the ASTM-1527
Standard. We endeavored to take on for our clients the burden of establishing
"all appropriate inquiry" to help them qualify for the innocent
landowner, the bonafide purchaser or the contiguous landowner defenses under
the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability
Act of 1980 (CERCLA).
JMK soon became a trusted partner
to those interested in protecting their investments and safeguarding their
assets from unforeseen environmental liabilities, especially Superfund.
In recent years, JMK has grown
into a leading real estate due diligence and environmental consulting
organization staffed by highly qualified engineers, scientists, project
managers and professional consultants. These experts in the fields of

provide comprehensive and cost-efficient solutions to a diverse client list
nationwide.
JMK provides due diligence
assistance and environmental consultation to more than 100 nationwide lenders
and financial institutions. We were ranked 2nd in California and 14th in the
U.S., according to EDR database orders for the year 2003. Celebrating our 14th
anniversary this year, JMK hopes to continue leading the environmental
consulting industry in the key markets and to expand our unique brand of
services across the nation.
