Following the achievement of
contaminant concentrations below Maximum Concentration Levels (MCL), a period
of Post-Remedial Action Monitoring is conducted to insure no rebound
occurrence. Post-Remedial Action Monitoring is usually necessary before a site
will be granted regulatory agency case closure.
